The Northern Lighthouse Board has been awarded ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management certification. This is a major accomplishment and we are delighted that the health and safety controls we have in place have achieved this international recognition.
The certification forms a key part of our wider UKAS accredited Business Management System and reinforces our principal concern with safety: the safety of the mariner at sea; the safety of our own people employed in or around some of the world’s most dangerous coastlines; and the safety of the environment in which we, and those who come after us, must live and work.
Well done to everyone involved with achieving this crucial certification for NLB.
