In the Northern Lighthouse Board the provision of reliable, cost effective and efficient aids to navigation is our core business. Our skills in this vital field have been built up over 200 years of service to the mariner in the harshest of marine environments. Our equipment, and the service we provide, has to work – navigational safety depends upon it. Accredited to BS EN ISO 9001:2008, OHSAS 18001, BS ISO/IEC 27001:2005 and ISM certified, we are proud to offer this level of service and reassurance to our customers. The primary function of the Northern Lighthouse Board's Marine Operations assets is to fulfil the statutory duties of the Board in relation to the provision of Aids to Navigation for the safety of all mariners. The Merchant Shipping and Maritime Safety Act 1977 permits the Board to utilise any spare capacity in the statutory programme to offer the same high standards of Aids to Navigation (AtoN) provision and marine support services to clients. The Northern Lighthouse Board is the most experienced provider of AtoN services in Scottish and Manx waters. Let our skills support your business.
