ENHANCEMENT OF LIGHT AND ESTABLISHMENT OF RADAR BEACON (RACON) SERVICE

Notice is given that, with immediate effect, the range of the light at this East Cardinal buoy station has been increased to 9 Miles and a dual X/S Band racon established with the undernoted characteristics:-

Frequency::

X Band = 9300 – 9500 MHz
S Band = 2900 – 3100 MHz
Response Time:

Simultaneously active on both X and S bands for 20 seconds in every minute
Nominal Range: 7 Miles

Code Response Length: 1 Mile Nominal
