RE-ESTABLISHMENT OF PERMANENT LIGHT


With reference to NOTICE TO MARINERS NO 36 OF 2001 (DATED 22 NOVEMBER 2001), notice is given that, on or about 31 JANUARY 2006, the temporary light will be discontinued and a permanent light will be re-established with the undernoted characteristics:-.

Character: Flashing (twice) White/Red every 7 seconds
Sector: White Sector 218° – 249 ° (031 ° )
Red Sector 249 ° – 350 ° (101 ° )
White Sector 350 ° – 036 ° (046 ° )

Elevation

 15 METRES
Nominal Range: 11 MILES (white)
8 MILES (red)
Description of Structure: White Stone Tower (Height 13 Metres) (as before)

This Notice to Mariners is part of NLB 5 Yearly AtoN review process which has recommended this alteration to character and is incorporated in the recently issued 2020 Vision document outlining the future strategy for provision of Aids to navigation throughout UK and the Republic of Ireland.
