Following liaison with
the Maritime Coastguard Agency the Northern Lighthouse Board’s ship MV PHAROS
has laid two wreck marking buoys in the vicinity of the wreck of the JAMBO, as
part of the Board’s statutory duties under the Merchant Shipping Act.
A Notice to Mariners
has been issued to shipping advising of the positions and character of the new
buoys which are provided to warn off any shipping in the
area.
MV PHAROS has now been
released from the scene and is making her way to Oban to resume her normal NLB
work.
