Mariners using certain Radar and Electronic Chart Displays may see a symbol on the display and, on interrogation, the above information and bearing & distance from the observer will be available. If displayed, the screen symbol for an AIS AtoN is a diamond shape. Mariners are referred to NOTICE TO MARINERS NO 2 OF 2010 (DATED 7 JANUARY 2010), for further information.

Mariners are requested to contact the General Lighthouse Authorities regarding their experience of AIS and in particular the extent to which AIS AtoN data is available to them.
