The Atkins Review was commissioned by both Governments following the Consultation in 2009 into a proposed increase in Light Dues. The resulting Report was published on 15 March 2010. It recommends the continuation of three separate Lighthouse Authorities and the creation of a “Joint Strategic Board”, consisting of the Non Executive Directors and Chief Executives of the GLAs, to drive greater integration and coordination in order to release further operational and administrative efficiencies.
