North Ronaldsay

North Ronaldsay Lighthouse

This is the most northerly island in Orkney. The original beacon on North Ronaldsay was the third lighthouse built in Scotland by the Northern Lighthouse Board in 1789. In 1854 a new lighthouse was design and built by Alan Stevenson. Through a partnership with the North Ronaldsay Trust tours of the new lighthouse are available through the summer season.
